Canon EOS 1Ds Mk3

Ok here's a couple of questions I get asked every week.
Do I use Canon or Nikon camers? and Which is the best?
Truth is neither is the best!
Both makes are fantastic.
As a studio I use both makes, as another saying goes, You don't need to bash a nail into jelly with a mallet. Well I might have made that saying up but the fact is, you choose the camera to suit the job you are photographing.

For our schools photography we shoot on Fuji S5's which are based on a Nikon body. That's because they produce good skin like tones, record to card really fast and are a relatively inexpensive camera. I've shot around 100 thousand images one one of these cameras so far and its still going strong.

How ever the Daddy of all DSLR cameras has got to be the Canon 1Ds Mk3
Its a full frame, twin card, 21meg, ultra fast, wireless transmitting beast of a camera. I use this for my high end photography, portraits and weddings. It is in my opinion the best most rugged camera ever created. Our studio shoots around 600 family portraits, 50 to 80 weddings and countless commercial jobs every year and these cameras never let us down.
The skin tones are beyond what you would have ever expected years ago and with massive file sizes. We have images in our studio 6x4feet high with little loss in quality.
The shot shown here is from my wedding last week. It was taken at a wopping 1000asa due to poor lighting but there is very little noise!
A fantastic camera but if you want more technical info then goto the Nikon or Canon Website http://www.canon.co.uk/ or www.nikon.co.uk

So if you want the perfect camera, decied what you would like to photograph and your budget, then get a big loan out and buy a 1DS Mk3
